God’s Gonna Cut You Down - Johnny Cash
This is one of the best songs Johnny Cash wrote. I’m now going to watch walk the line a thousand more times over…
He didn’t write it. Trent Reznor wrote it for Nine Inch Nails in 1994. Cash did a cover in 2002, seven months before he died- Johnny took that song and made it his own, but he didn’t write the lyrics himself.

Well, you know I have a love, a love for everyone I know.
And you know I have a drive to live, I won’t let go.
But can you see this opposition comes rising up sometimes?
That it’s dreadful imposition, comes blacking in my mind.
Did you know how much I love you?
Is a hope that somehow you,
Can save me from this darkness.
